Welcome to the Funny Farm!  This month's card kit from GinaK Designs is something to SQUEAL for... seriously... it's STINKIN' cute! 

The set is called Funny Farm and it is just that... FUNNY!  There are some adorable barnyard animals, a cute little cultivating couple, and a fantastic farm with pastures.  There are just so many things you can do with this set!!!  

I created two "scene" cards today... I love the look of black and white, so both of my cards are created on black cards with white matting.  The first card is super easy... I wanted to keep the card black and white, but I decided to add a subtle touch of color by making the sheep "pretty in pink"  Isn't it sweet???  Just look at them... they look shocked, or surprised... maybe they don't like pink?  

The second card I went a little color crazy on.  I created the same "scene" but added some color and a barnyard friend!  I created a bit of texture in the field by dampening a paper towel with the colorless blender solution and dabbing it onto the tan "wheat"  See how it pulled up some of the color and gives the field some dimension?  I also colored the sky with large, looping circles and then went over it with loose circles with the blender.  While the sheep still looked a bit shocked (they are now tan and not pink), the cow looks UTTERLY bored!  LOL  And of course, you can have a farm without gingham!
